Environmental issues in Slovenia
One of the environmental issues in Slovenia is that they are experiencing air pollution that causes the forest to be damaged coming from the urban places primarily from the vehicles that emits gaseous waste and also those domestic heating of woods followed by a power generation and industry and thus it may result to acid rain. Acid rain pertains to any form of precipitation with high levels of nitric and sulfuric acids. This may occur in the form of snow, fog, and tiny bits of dry material that settle to the land or places. This kind of issue being faced by the people of Slovenia is very alarming because it really damages the natural resources and environment in their place as well as it have a negative impact for the livelihood of the people living in that particular place. Another environmental problems that they encounter was about the climate change that happened because of the annual temperature increases in Slovenia is much greater than the global average. And with that the primary concern is about the shift of seasonal precipitation patterns. Like for instance the number of hot days have increased, and the precipitation regime is changing. With that changes there is a possibility that the Triglav glacier to completely vanish in the next few years. Experiencing that kind of climate change is difficult in their place because they need to adapt to the new seasonal patterns and shift the routines that they experience in the past years. However, the people of Slovenia need to adapt to the changes and plan for the ways to lessen the climate changes in their place.
